Short Green Kick
is a contemporary organ trio whose name is taken from a Lord Buckley routine on Albert Einstein, and whose music lies somewhere in the nether regions between swing and funk. Their music consists of original compositions and music by John Scofield, James Brown, Larry Young and others. Consisting of Eli Reisman on guitar, Charlie Doggett on drums and Marcus Reynolds on organ, the trio shares a common desire to explore groove-based music while remaining faithful to the jazz tradition.
